Prof. Santosh J. Gharpure, founding member of ISCC and faculty member at IIT Bombay has been awarded the INSA Teachers award 2021 for his contributions as a teacher and mentor to students.
Prof. Gharpure’s research focuses on the development of new synthetic methods, which would be applicable for the synthesis of natural and unnatural products of biological relevance.
The Indian National Science Academy (INSA) has instituted INSA Teachers Award to recognize and value excellence, consistency and high level of teaching in Indian Colleges, Universities and Institutions. The award is made annually to recognize and honour teachers for providing guidance, inspiration and mentoring students to take up careers in Science and Technology. All disciplines of Science and Technology including Medical & Engineering Sciences come under the purview of this award.
